Together we make, and shape in clay,
At our studio, day to day.
It’s what we do, in life and art,
Charley and Bonnie are never apart.
The winds have blown these artists far
Across the globe, from star to star.
Our art’s in Chile, Mexico, and France,
There are no rules… give clay a chance!
We watch, observe, and learn our world,
We form it in clay, then it’s unfurled.
A face you know, you’ve seen before,
But just can’t place, as behind the door.
The tableaux-vivant, the story to tell,
So much inside it, do look well.
These sculptures speak and evoke emotion,
Some with content as deep as our ocean.
Events of war, and love and home,
Food and flights of fancy moan.
Things we think, then push away,
In our hopes of a brighter day.
We are FACING IT; our human condition.
With our sculptures…a ceramic rendition.
